Our MissionGETDC’S mission is to empower individuals to control their destiny by equipping them with the essential tools needed in the areas of education, healthcare, finance and related issues. About GETDCAnita T. Conner, CPA founded the GETDC in 2000 and named it in memory of her father George E. Thorne who graduated from Overbrook High School, served in the United States Armed Forces, and stared his own engineering firm at a time when business opportunities were frequently denied to African-Americans. As a Certified Public Accountant with her own successful small business, Anita created GETDC to share with young people the lessons of hard work, perserverance, self-confidence, and financial management which were her father's legacy to her. GETDC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are supported in part by contributions from Anita T. Conner, CPA and by tax deductible contributions from businesses, churches, community groups, and individuals.
